The Legend of Captain Robert Chapter 1
Captain Robert, the captain of the ship “The Kraken” leader of the “Bloody Mary” pirate crew, and pirate extraordinaire, was looking off the starboard bow of his ship through a spy glass with his first mate “What do ye see Johnny?” he asked “Britain navy ships captain, bout’ five o’ em.” “Hem, this won’t be good…”  Robert moaned. “Think we can fight our way out o’ this captain?” asked 1st mate Johnny. “Nay, we’d get flanked an’ would down to Davey Jones locker before ye’ knew it.”  “So, what’ll we do captain?” “We fight!”
Robert walked up to the wheel “ALL HANDS ON DECK YE’ BILGE RATS!!! READY THE CANNONS AND BRING HER ‘ROUND STARBOARD!!!” Much to his delight, his crew obeyed and performed the tasked given to them with great speed and efficiency as him had trained them with years of practice and drills to keep them in shape.  Robert stood calmly at the wheel; he had been in situations like this, however these where the navies five best ships, which out-gunned his by far.  As the ships came together all they could hear was shouts and battle cries, the British soldiers in front began to board while others stopped the pirates from boarding theirs making escape impossible.  Robert’s men were tested to their limits against the British soldiers, although Robert had trained them well in swordplay. In minutes the fight was over and every last one of Roberts crew members had been subdued, although, he did feel a small sense of victory having defeated many a foe.
The leader of the British ships came forward, took out a scroll, opened and read aloud. “By order of the governor, Captain Robert and his crew will be brought to Port Alexander for execution in front of the entire community.”
As the British sailed into Port Alexander captain Roberts heard a roar of applause. The captain of the five ships was standing on the bow of the Kraken standing triumphantly.  The governor awarded him the Kraken as a reward for capturing a dreaded pirate.  Captain Robert saw this and shouted “NO BILGE DRINKIN’ BRITISH CAPTAIN IS GONNA SET ONE FOOT ON MY SHIP!!! AT LEAST GIVE THE POOR GIRL A BURIEL AT SEA!” “Captain” replied the governor “Before this point I was going to a quick and painless death, however if you keep that up I will make it as slow and painful as my men can make it.”
Robert sat alone in his cell ashamed, his crew was yelling, begging, and doing at all they could for mercy.  “SHUT UP YA’ BILGE RATS!!!” the captain Roberts shouted “If yer’ gonna die, at least do it with whatever shed of dignity and respect ye ‘ave left.”  The captain hung in head in despair trying to think of a way out.  A soldier walked up to their cells with three guards and said that the crew would be going first and put shackles on all of them and walk away with the crew.  As they left Robert pick-pocketed a key from a guard; before long he could hear his crew singing a sea shanty. “Now’s the time if ever.” Robert said getting up and putting the key in the lock.  The door opened with a loud creek, but through the singing of the crew, and the applause from the crowd one heard it.  He cautiously made his way down to the docks where he found his beloved ship.  Robert untied the cleats and leaped aboard with joy. He was home. The governor of Port Alexander looked out at the sea, and to his surprise he saw the Kraken sailing off into the sunset “Captain.” Yes?” Did you tie up the Kraken?” “Of course I did. Why?” “Because it’s sailing away.” “WHAT?!? MEN, TO THE SHIPS!!!” The British navy leaped to action running down to the docks and boarding their ships.  “Captain, we’ll never make it in time!” “How, we have him far out gunned?” “Yes, captain but you see… he us out sped.” Captain Robert looked back at the fleet of British ships and shouted to them “I’m sorry gentlemen, but I’m afraid I have an urgent appointment to get to that I can’t miss for the life of me.”  In reply the captain of the British ships, the man who was suppose to have defeated Captain Robert, the man who was supposed to have brought in the Kraken, the man who was supposed to have defeated one of the seas greatest scourges simply said “AAAAAAAAAAAAAUUUUUUUUUGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!”
